Build Your Future with CES

What makes CES Relevant?

Excellent Engineering

An elegant solution. Excellence in engineering goes beyond a safe and economical structure. So many times clients face problems which are overwhelming. They need to be thoroughly understood and well collaborated with. Out of this deep understanding and strong collaboration powerful solutions arise. We believe this is the essence of excellent engineering.

Diverse Type of Projects

Intractable problems come disguised in all manner of construction types. The magic of structural analysis reduces complex problems to idealized representations which can then be analyzed and overcome. We frequently solve structural problems in glass, steel, aluminum, wood, masonry, concrete. We find these problems in settings ranging from steel foundries and heavy industry to commercial centers and residential neighborhoods.

Management Training

CES is committed to providing attractive career paths for its team as part of its growth strategy. Accordingly, we have implemented a state of the art management training program aimed at producing Level 5 Leaders. Our goal is to create a company with the highest possible density of Level 5 Leaders. We firmly believe that our continued success in this endeavor is setting the stage for us to win big for generations to come.

Owner Access

It is a supremely uncomfortable position to know that your destiny is controlled by unknown people located at some mysterious “corporate” headquarters hundreds of miles away. CES works hard to keep the ownership team accessible to all employees. Not just knowing who the CEO is, but being able to talk to him and express your concerns is part of the culture CES has developed.

Growth Opportunities

CES has been growing steadily since its inception in 2010. We now have three offices from Louisiana to Cincinnati. Our goal is 10 offices by 2032.

Fun Place to Work

Poker nights, daily mini-golf challenges, legendary Christmas parties. The Standard Doughnut Challenge. Hard work builds up steam and steam must be let off. Get a bunch of people together who genuinely like and care for each other and fun stuff happens.

Family Environment

The typical person will spend more time with work colleagues than they do almost any other person in their life. It just makes sense that work relationships should at the very least be pleasant. Ideally they are comfortable and comforting. We seek to create a sense of family and a warm atmosphere that brings out each person’s best. We don’t expect, or even want, to replace a person’s family. We do seek to have a warm and caring environment for the part of a person’s life where they will spend the bulk of their time.

Small Engineering Teams

The right balance between autonomy and standardization can be difficult to balance. The key to this correct balance lies in proper interpersonal relationships. In the work environment a person’s relationship to their boss will determine whether or not that balance is struck or not. CES has spent a lot of time experimenting and working on our management systems and processes. Part of our findings is the best size for an engineering team and we strongly believe they need to be small, nimble, and close knit. Not everyone has the same needs. Management needs to be close enough to each person to see their needs and to either give the space to grow or the coaching to succeed.

Ownership Opportunities

In 2020 we brought on board our first expansion of the ownership circle. Since that point the circle has continued to grow and more and more employees have been joining in participation in company ownership.
